Welcome to Holmes Academy for the Gifted - a typical boarding school with a twist. Behind all the food fights and drama, there is something different about the students. There are people in this world that have special abilities, a special power that makes them different from your average, every day humans. Those are the people that this school was built for.
No one's exactly sure where they came from, but since 1945, the governments of the world knew of them. There may be less of a need for soldiers with abilities now, but the experiments never stopped. Governments set up what they called Divison. These were made up of other gifted people, trained to hunt down the rest of the talented people in the world. Division then locked them away - many of those that were locked away never came back. Division tested them and categorized them, and the cycle never seemed to stop. But Miranda Holmes -a highly skilled watcher or clairvoyant - had a plan. Set up decades in advance, she knew what she was doing.
Miranda was kidnapped by Division and because of her power, she was held under much tighter security and scrutiny than most. However, her plan was already in action. Miranda's daughter Cassie, also a watcher, set off to find Nick Grant, a pusher whose father was killed by Division when he was ten years old. Meeting in Hong Kong, the two set off on a journey to make Miranda's plan become a reality. They sought to retrieve a drug that was stolen from Division by Kira, a pusher who had escaped from them. The drug was theoretically supposed to boost the abilities of the subject, but no one had ever survived it's effect. Apart from Kira. She was forced to undergo many tests of the drug and still lived.
Once they found her, they banded together and used the drug as a bargaining chip. They used it to gain leeway with Division. They got right to the core of the project - and then tore it to pieces. With Miranda free, Division was left broken and in tatters. Beyond repair, the government silently condemned the project and terminated the contract. Although most of Division has been destroyed, there are still a few lone agents floating around, seeking revenge.
Because of this, and due to their newfound freedom, Holmes Academy was created as a safe haven specially designed to help new (and old) generations cope with their powers. Some of these children are still feeling the effects of Division, and some are not. But all of them must learn to control their powers and work together to defend the world from the remaining agents. Which side will you be on?
