hair: dark brown
eyes: blue
height: 5'11"
overall: tall, lean and suave, chace looks every part the person he is. with dark hair and piercing blue eyes, he doesn't exactly look innocent. which is just as well, because he isn't in any way. he's also fairly athletic in build, which is something that comes from spending most of your life on the run. however, he remains unscarred for the most part, despite his rough time on the road. he also has a thing for wearing darker clothes, although he's not afraid to wear something different. again, another habit born from being on the run. however, despite everything, chace still retains the ability to look as dangerous as hell. it's something of a talent.

ability: pusher
full name: Michael Chace Alinari
nicknames: Chace
year: junior, seventeen
gender: male
sexuality: straight
personality: chace is a person with your typical devil-may-care attitude. before arriving in new york, he spent most of his time doing what he liked, when he liked. his wit is one of his most obvious traits, but once you get to know him, you being to understand how unpredictable chace is. it’s impossible to work out what his next move will be, most of the time, making him seem dangerous. this danger is something that chace has always been aware of, and something he used to the max. he constantly toys with people, and manipulation is an art he’s refined well; anything to let him get what he wants.
however, invariably, his words and reckless actions can get him into trouble, but chace finds himself prepared for that eventuality too. he has the ability to remain level-headed in a crisis, and has the ability to get himself through things, despite everything. his strategies and plans never fail to get him out of trouble, perhaps due to the amount of sheer nerve he possesses, and his power comes in handy too. however, he’s not stupid - he’s always looking out for number one. he’d do most things just to further his own position. however, chace is also often easily drawn in to things. if you’re persistent enough, and phrase it correctly, chace can be led into most things - however, there aren’t many people that have the nerve required to do so. he’s also highly conscious of his mistakes - although he doesn’t think about it at the time, any errors tend to play on his mind for a day or two afterwards. after that, he locks them away, trying to let the past fade into non-existence, but things always crop up at the most inconvenient moments for him.
however, despite everything, chace is highly independent and completely unforgiving. his status as a part of the public relations group has been earned the hard way - although not for him. he’s spiteful and malicious, although he takes his time about doing it. he’s not easily pushed into a fight, but if you make a mistake with him you’ll be paying for it later, one way or another. you can count on it.

father: vincent gabriel alinari , deceased

significant other? ha. chace doesn't really do 'boyfriend'.
history: born in las vegas on october 18th, michael chace alinari was a gift to his parents; at the time, anyway. the child of two talents, chace, or michael as he was known then, was naturally skilled - more skilled than most anyway. but his talent was more than a little unexpected. with a shader for a mother and a shifter for a father, no one had expected chace to be a pusher. but that's fate for you. chace's life was fairly normal until just after he turned 6. his father had been out working at the garage as a mechanic, and chace had been at school. chace's mother had also been at work, when vincent arrived. bloody and torn, he grabbed his wife and son and started running. division had found them.
life became a balancing act for chace, keeping on the right side of his parents and staying away from division. it wasn’t difficult, but important none the less. the family moved around a lot, to avoid getting caught. helena, chace's mother, could hide them from the sniffs during the day. but at night they were vulnerable. at night, while helena slept, they were at risk. however, they managed to stay away and stay safe for long enough. and it was during his time on the run that chace changed. he had been the sweet little angel child, never doing a thing to harm anyone. but pressure pushed him in new directions. he began to use his power to escape danger - and the more he used his push, the better it got. the stronger it got. soon, chace went from being able to poke someone to look the other way to being able to flat out control them. it was useful in staying on the run, and his parents didn't discourage his practice. they were too busy handling everything else.
eventually, however, things went wrong. vincent was caught by division, and dragged off into the night. chace was nine. he wasn't ready to be without his father. chace and his mother ran as far away as possible. but helena couldn't cope. she forced herself to stay awake for days on end, trying to keep her son as safe as possible. but then she would pass out for hours on end, giving division more than enough time to catch up. chace fell from narrow escape to narrow escape, each time barely escaping, each time with his mother in tow. however, one time, it wouldn't be enough. helena was surrounded. she was captured. and chace had no choice but to run.
left alone, chace hardened, manipulating his way through life. he didn't know it, but he had one last gift from his parents. division didn't know they had a son. division didn't know he was alive. they'd never seen him, and his parents never mentioned him. he was safe, within reason. chace kept himself hidden, however. he dropped the name of michael, adopting chace instead. he couldn't bring himself to do away with alinari, although he used it as little as possible. he was out for himself. he had to stay alive.
however, staying alive soon blending into something more. as chace's powers grew stronger still, his nature changed. he grew manipulative, and he started to take what he wanted, when he wanted. some would say he was alone for too long. some would say it was in his nature as a pusher. either way, chace alinari was a very, very different beast to what michael alinari had ever been. reckless and daring, he was ready to take anything and do anything. and the few times division caught up with him, chace took no chances. he used his push and made sure the threat was eliminated. chace wasn't one for taking prisoners.
of course, eventually, division fell. yet chace found his life remained the same. he'd been on the run for most of his life, he had lived like this for too long. division fell - yet nothing changed. nothing, apart from one small fact. his mother had lived. she found him eventually, and she was shocked at the son she discovered. chace wouldn't change his name back, and he kept his habits. his mother may have gotten her life back, but chace had other ideas. however, she watched him. and finally, enough was enough. she knew of the academy that had been set up. chace was enrolled. he didn't have a choice. he could have rebelled like he always did. but under the ice and the rock that was chace's heart and morality, he knew he couldn't. his mother had already had her heart broken once when his father died. chace couldn't bring himself to do it twice. he decided to attend, for his mother's sake and nothing more. of course, that doesn't mean he's about to make things any less difficult.

thesample!
Roleplay Sample:Round and round the merry-go-round, Chace couldn't help but compare his life to a never ending cycle. Boredom, Irritation and Spitefulness. Over and over and over. Not that he was complaining too much. There was a time when you reached the point of 'I don't give a crap' and stepped over to the dark side. Chace had reached that point. A long time ago. Of course, he still cared about some things, but other people and their meaningless little feelings and all that? Well, screw courtesy. What was the point? Besides, someone had to lift the rose-tinted glasses from their doe eyes.
And of course, this particular specimen of a girl was no different. There were no exceptions to his little philosophy. And from her reaction at his mere presence, Chace could tell this was going to be so much fun. Again, better than Hannah Montana at any rate. Chace would rather pull his own fingernails out than endure that. None the less, the pretty young thing's reaction was amusing. She started when he made his first sound; Chace could see it. And then it grew. She recognised him. Chace knew it.
And how he loved it when they recognised him. It wasn't even that people knew him personally. They just...knew him. Infamy was thrilling, one way or another. After all, everyone had heard of him, and if not, what he had done. Like the time he locked a kid in the store cupboard down the normally deserted west wing. They had found him shaking, afflicted with a severe case of both claustrophobia and a chronic fear of the dark. Needless to say, some of the other nymphs hadn't been too happy, but Chace couldn't say he regretted it. He couldn't say he regretted much; not in this place, anyway.
Chace couldn't help but cock an eyebrow at her first reaction though. Defensive. And those judging little eyes, narrowed with suspicion. Or something like that anyway. Chace let her scowl away and make her dramatic little 'entrance' as such. 'Normal problems'. She had no clue. But that was just how Chace liked it. His business was his own - not that of the entire student body. Chace watched as she dipped her feet in the water, trying to distract herself with the ripples. Chace might have joined her for effect, but it wasn't really a possibility. He was still wearing jeans & an old t-shirt. He hadn't exactly been planning on swimming. No matter.
"Well, look at you with your little opinions. You don't even know the first thing about me," Chace said to her in a matter-of-factly tone. Chace sat on the edge of the railing, looking her over for a moment. Dark hair, dark eyes, beautiful skin and the kind of pretty white throat a vampire found attractive. She seemed familiar. As Chace breathed in, he made some sort of attempt to identify her scent. It was fairly simple a task. Yet the results were odd. She smelled like an angel, but there was something off. Something too human. Chace could just see her wings taped up to her back, so he knew he was right; but it was odd. Angels didn't smell human. Not at all.
After some effort, Chace was able to place her in a couple of his classes. Also round the corridors, when he had bothered to pay attention. But she had always been attached at the hip to that demon kid. Well, wasn't that an interesting thought? Chace wondered if she knew. Her name however escaped him. S....something. God, who even cared. Names were so unimportant. After all, they were edited so easily, it made them little more than labels. "Unless, of course, you've been listening to the rumour track. But you know what they say about gossip, don't you?" Chace pushed on, his tone suggestive; like he knew some dirt on her, something he could smear her with. In truth, he didn't. But Chace held an extremely good poker face, plus it would be interesting to see her reaction. After all, if he didn't have anything on her now, he might soon; if he played his cards right
